Torre del Veguer
Torre del Veguer és un dels cellers més singulars del món vinícola, situada en un enclavament idíl·lic a Sant Pere de Ribes (Barcelona, DO Penedès). Familiar, de producció artesanal, Torre del Veguer és un mas fortificat del 1359, on elaborem vins de qualitat a partir dels nostres propis vinyes ecològiques . Aspirem a l’excel·lència en tot el procés, des de la vinya a la comercialització. Els vins de Torre del Veguer ja van ser premiats amb la Medalla d’Or a l’Exposició Universal de Barcelona del 1888.
Respectant l’estructura medieval i la reforma efectuada al segle XIX, des de 1995 s’han incorporat noves i modernes instal·lacions per elaborar els vins seguint les tendències de mercat.
En 1995 iniciem aquesta nova etapa del celler, basada en l’elaboració de vins de qualitat a partir de varietats autòctones del Garraf com Xarel.lo i malvasia, mediterrànies com el Muscat i Garnatxa, i d’altres orígens com Cabernet Sauvignon i Petite Syrah. Les nostres vinyes són 100% ecològics des 2016 i es troben envoltant el celler amb el Mar Mediterrani com a teló de fons.

Situació i descripció
L’anomenada Torre del Veguer, es troba a l’extrem ponent del terme municipal de Sant Pere de Ribes, tocant al límit del terme de Vilanova i la Geltrú, a la Comarca del Garraf.
Es tracta d’un edifici aïllat d’estil eclèctic, edificat en la seva major part durant el segle XIX sobre la base d’un antiga «casa forta» medieval anterior a l’any 1359 , de la qual es conserven alguns elements. A l’exterior trobem un gran portalada d’arc de punt rodó adornat amb un escut de marbre del segle XVI amb les armes dels Avinyó, i amb sòlids contraforts adossats. A l’interior, tres arcs ogivals al celler i un arc de mig punt a la cuina, són testimonis de l’antiguitat de l’edifici. Actualment està catalogada com a edifici històric-artístic per la Generalitat de Catalunya (R-I-51-5665).
